Riversway By-Election: Polling Day!

Riversway resVote Labouridents go to the polls today to vote in the Riversway By-Election. Preston Labour Party is calling for people to vote for a positive local agenda set out by Labour Councillors and to promote the only local candidate in the campaign  - Linda Crompton.

Preston Labour has campaigned positively, unlike the Liberal Democrats, focusing solely on local issues and presenting a radical agenda for Preston Council, based on traditional Labour values.

'We've had a great response on the doorstep.' said Local Labour Councillor Bhikhu Patel. 'But we're not taking anything for granted.  The Tories and Liberal Democrats did a deal so that there would be no Tory candidate to help the Lib Dem candidate, so we know that it's going to be close.'

Polls open from 7am and close at 10pm.

You do not need your polling card to vote.

If you are a postal voter and have not yet voted, you can take your papers to your local polling station and vote on the day.

Promoted by Ray Collins, General Secretary, the Labour Party, on behalf of the Labour Party, both at 39 Victoria Street, London, SW1H 0HA.
