Labour Appeal to local Lib Dems

Labour Rose IconPreston Labour are appealing to local Liberal Democrat voters, disgusted with the decision to enter coalition government with the Tories, to join them!

Peter Rankin, newly elected councillor for Tulketh Ward said: "Already we have had some very unhappy Liberals speak to us about resigning and getting involved with Labour.  All people have to do is email me on cllr.p.rankin@preston.gov.uk and I'll be happy to discuss the process for joining up.  We'd be very happy to welcome people with left-of-centre politics wanting to get involved in local politics."

At a local level, the Tories and Liberal Democrats have once again formed a coalition, which will undoubtedly be characterised by the same lack of ideas and stealth taxes that have been the hallmark of the Lib Dem-Con alliance.

Promoted by Ray Collins, General Secretary, the Labour Party, on behalf of the Labour Party, both at 39 Victoria Street, London, SW1H 0HA.
