Healthier, Stronger City

Drew Gale

Activist Drew Gale details Preeston Labour’s aspirations for a healthier city, in the face of Tory/Lib Dem attacks on the poorest areas of the city.

'Preston Labour Party will push for a proper set of policies and leadership from Preston Council on issues of health.

We pledge

  • Develop low cost, accessible leisure facilities for everyone
  • Restore the Passport to Leisure for disabled and low income families
  • Restore crèche facilities for families
  • Make better use of licensing laws to discourage alcohol abuse by young people'

For more information on these policies, as well as greater details of Labour Manifesto for the 2008 election in Preston, please click here

The next item on the manifesto will detail how Preston Council will start to repair the damage done by the last four years of financial incompetence by the Tories and Lib Dems, as well how we intend to give the people of Preston a Council that truly delivers Value for Money.
